Brittle Star welcomes submissions of unpublished, original work in the following categories:

Poetry: 1 – 4 poems

Short fiction: 1 – 3 stories up to 1,200 words

Articles: please submit ideas for articles and an example of your writing style

Editors would prefer to have submissions by post. Please submit two copies of each piece, a covering letter and an SSAE to: Editors, Brittle Star, PO Box 56108, London E17 0AY. If you would like acknowledgement of your submission, please send a second SSAE or details of a contact email address.

Submissions by email. Please send with a covering letter as a Word or RTF attachment. Please do not send work in the main body of the email. Send to: magazine@brittlestar.org.uk

Guidelines

• All contributors will be notified if they are successful or not within 6 weeks of the final submission deadline. See news/events for deadline dates.

• Please also include a short biography of no more than 40 words for use if the piece is selected.

• Please note, we cannot accept work that is currently under consideration by another magazine.

• We would encourage you to read a recent copy of Brittle Star before submitting work.
